The Influence of Foaming Agents on Aluminium Foam Cell Morphology

چکیده
The choice of foaming agent and its mass fraction significantly affect the size number metal foam cells. powder metallurgy process was used to produce aluminium foams with addition various agents: titanium hydride (TiH2) calcium carbonate (CaCO3). TiH2 added in an amount 0.4 wt.%, while quantity CaCO3 varied between 3 5 wt.%. produced foams, approximately same degree porosity, were scanned using a non-destructive computed tomography method. number, size, equivalent diameter, sphericity, compactness cells analysed on obtained three-dimensional models. results showed that foamed have much larger compared agent. By considering influence morphology foam, it follows smaller (3 wt.%) provides macrostructure Samples five wt.% contain slightly but are still than at porosity. sphericity indicate forms more regular shape
